Properties:Colorless or slightly yellow transparent viscous liquid, slightly acidic, hygroscopic, and the aqueous solution is acidic.
Application
In the food industry, lactic acid is used as a sour agent with antiseptic effect and as a general sour agent, bactericide, preservative, mildew inhibitor, etc. in the food industry. It can adjust pH value, inhibit bacteria, extend shelf life, flavor, maintain food color and improve product quality.
Lactic acid is used as calcium remover in industry and the performance of washing and cleaning products is better than that of traditional organic scale remover, so it can be used in many scale removal products. Such as: toilet, bathroom, coffee machine cleaner.
It is used to processing fibers in the textile industry to make fibers easy to dye, increase luster and make them soft to touch.
Lactic acid can be also used as the starting material of polylactic acid to produce a new generation of fully biodegradable plastics.
