Application
Calcium Stearate is a white powder that is insoluble in water and can be used as a waterproof agent, lubricant and plastic additive.
1. In the food industry, calcium stearate, as a food additive, can be added to desserts such as cakes, desserts and granulated chewing gum to play the role of lubricant. In addition, calcium stearate can be used for food packaging film.
2. As a plasticizer in rubber processing, it can soften natural rubber and complete rubber, but has little effect on vulcanization.
3. In industry, calcium stearate can be used as heat stabilizer of PVC, lubricant and release agent for various plastics processing. In hard products, calcium stearate, in combination with basic lead salts and lead soaps, can improve the gel speed. It can also be used as halogen absorbent for polyethylene and polypropylene to eliminate the adverse effect of residual catalyst on color and stability.
4. In the cosmetics industry, calcium stearate is used for perfume powder. When it is added into the fragrant powder, it has good adhesion and lubrication to the powder, is evenly spread and has good formability
