Allopurinol
Molecular Formula: C5H4N4O
Properties: Allopurinol and its metabolite alloxanthine have the effect of inhibiting the xanthine oxidase, thereby blocking the synthesis of uric acid, reducing the concentration of uric acid in the blood, and reducing the deposition of uric acid salts in bones, joints and kidneys. It is clinically used for gout and gouty nephropathy.
Application
1. Primary and secondary hyperuricemia, especially hyperuricemia, is also used for hyperuricemia with renal insufficiency
