Properties:Meropenem is an injectable antibiotic with a very wide range of antibacterial properties, used to treat many different infections, including meningitis and pneumonia. It is a beta-lactam antibiotic that falls under the class of carbapenems.
Application
Meropenem is indicated for adults and children with infections caused by single or multiple bacteria susceptible to meropenem: pneumonia (including hospital-acquired pneumonia), urinary tract infection, gynecological infections (such as endometritis and pelvic inflammatory disease), skin and soft tissue Infection, meningitis, sepsis. For empiric treatment, for adult patients with neutropenia and fever, this product can be used alone or in combination with antiviral or antifungal drugs.
Meropenem alone or in combination with other antimicrobial agents can be used to treat multiple infections.
For infant patients with neutropenia or primary or secondary immunodeficiency, there is currently no experience in using this product.
