Properties:Zinc sulfate heptahydrate is a kind of inorganic compound, commonly known as white alum, zinc alum. Colorless rhombic crystal prismatic crystal, white crystalline powder, soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol. It loses water when heated to 200°C and decomposes at 770°C.
1. Easily soluble in water (96.5g/100ml water at 20℃; 663.6g/100ml at 100℃). Slightly soluble in alcohol and glycerin.
2. Gradually weathering in dry air. At 280℃, all the crystal water is lost, and anhydrous substance is decomposed above 500℃
Application
1, Pharmaceutical industry, used for the preparation of zinc supplements, astringents, etc., used as emetics.
2, Industrial field, used as a mordant in printing and dyeing industry, anti-alkali agent; Wood preservatives, paper industry bleach, artificial fiber solidifying liquid, used for electrolysis, electroplating, pesticides and production of zinc salts, etc., is the manufacture of inorganic pigments (such as zinc barium white), other zinc salts (such as zinc stearate, basic zinc carbonate) and zinc containing catalyst main raw materials. Used as wood and leather preservative, bone glue clarifying and preservative, raw material for manufacturing cable.
