Thiamethoxam is a second-generation nicotinic high-efficiency and low-toxicity insecticide with a new structure, which has no cross-resistance with imidacloprid, acetamiprid and nitenpyram. It can be used for stem and leaf treatment, seed treatment and soil treatment. With good systemic conductivity, wide insecticidal spectrum and long duration of effect, thiamethoxam can activate plant stress resistance proteins, make crop stems and roots more robust, improve crop resistance to stress, and increase crop yield.
Application
Thiamethoxam is mainly used to control piercing-sucking mouthpart pests such as aphids, whitefly, bemisia tabaci, thrips, green leafhopper, etc., as well as control grubs, golden needle insects, codling moths, leafminers, leafminers and nematodes, etc.
Application Crops:
Rice, sugar beets, rapeseed, potatoes, cotton, beans, fruit trees, peanuts, sunflowers, soybeans, tobacco and citrus, etc.
Product Process Route:
Using 3-chloropropene as raw materials, the intermediate 2-chloro-5-chloromethylthiazole was synthesized. Then 2-chloro-5-chloromethylthiazole and 3-methyl-4-nitroimino perhydro-1,3,5-oxadiazine undergo condensation reaction to obtain thiamethoxam.
