Properties: This product is carmellose sodium salt formed by the action of cellulose and chloroacetic acid under alkaline conditions.
Appearance: White to light yellow fibrous or granular powder; odorless and hygroscopic. It swells into a colloidal solution in water. Insoluble in ethanol, ether or chloroform.
Application
This product can be used as binder, coating agent and sustained-release auxiliary material in tablet, and can be used as suspending agent, thickener and emulsifier in liquid preparation.
